Tempus Fugit Rout On Zwift

Tempus Fugit” is Latin for “time flees (or flies)”, and this is certainly a flat, fast route.

In fact, Tempus Fugit is the flattest route on Zwift. That makes it easy to rack up the XP points and level up much quicker. Not only does it make it easier to earn experience points faster, it also has an extra 10 XP banner segment. Since the banner segment is only 0.30 miles you can earn an additional 10 XP’s in less than a minute.

Tempus Fugit – Earn 50 XP Per Mile!

So now we know that Tempus Fugit is the flattest and fastest route on Zwift. It also has one of the shortest segments that earns you an extra 10 XP points. The segment is called Fuego Flats Forward Sprint. These two combined features of the route can earn you a total of 50 XP points per mile, here’s how.

First you need to go into your Zwift game and get a Time Trial bike. You will not be able to earn the extra 10 XP’s with any other type of bike. You will just keep getting the power ups (feather weight, undraftable, etc…). Personally, I could care less about power ups anyways.

After you get your cool TT bike select “Watopia” in the Zwift game. Then choose the “Tempus Fugit” route and start riding. You will reach the “Fuego Flats Forward Sprint” segment in about 1.2 miles, or so. When you reach the end of the segment the 10 XP will flash on your screen. Now, once you cross the segment finish line do an u-turn in your Zwift game. After you turn around watch for the beginning of the segment. You will see the line on the other side of the road. Once you get past that line, do another u-turn. This will put you at the beginning of the segment once again. You will be able to ride to the end once again and earn another 10 XP’s. If you keep going back and forth like this you will earn an additional 20 XP points per mile, giving you a total of 50 XP per mile.

Let’s break this down a little to see how much this tip can help you out…

If you ride a century ride (100 miles) and keep doing what I explained above:

100 x 30xp = 3,000 xp points
100 x 20xp = 2,000 xp points (just for riding the segment)
Total XP’s = 5,000 xp points

An Extra 2000 XP Per Mile

So you can get an extra 2,000 experience points just from looping the Fuego Flats Forward Sprint segment. If you ride long distances on Zwift why not get a few extra XP’s to help you rise up the levels quicker?
